Progress of Sodegaura City Energy Project - Chiba 2023
In Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture, the use of renewable energy has been promoted since 2006, with the Nakasode Clean Power project using local wind resources. 2023 will see the announcement of a 1.95 GW natural gas-fired power plant by Mitsubishi Power, which will be capable of handling hydrogen combustion. In addition, a 75 MW biomass power plant by Doosan Shkoda Power is also planned, and Sodegaura City aims to build a sustainable energy supply system combining natural gas and biomass.
