Spring Evening, One Hour, Women's Sex Talks - Spring 1977

Spring Evening, One Hour, Women's Sex Talks - Spring 1977

A: "Hey, guys. What do you think about women's sexuality?"

B: "Even now, people say that women should be chaste, but sexual desire is a natural thing. Why is it allowed only for men?

C: "That's right. For example, if a woman said, "I have a strong sexual desire," people would say, "What? But if it's a man, he can just say, "That's fine, you're fine. It's funny, isn't it?

A: "Controlling sexual desire and menstruation are often considered taboo, but it's better to talk about them properly. Hey, Mrs. D."

D: "That's right. Menstruation is a sign of health, but there is a tendency to hide it. But when it comes to pregnancy and childbirth, it suddenly becomes a woman's responsibility.

E: "That's it! Because men don't get pregnant, they say irresponsible things. It really pisses me off when they say things like 'contraception is for women' without hesitation."

F: "Pregnancy is essentially a gender issue, but only women are forced to take responsibility for it. Even contraception is something that men have to actively think about."

G: "In the past, we were told to have a baby by the age of 30, but now they say it's okay to have a baby after 40. It makes me wonder how much of that is true."

A: "Let's talk about prostitution, too. Don't you think it's different to assume that all women who engage in prostitution are unhappy?"

H: "Yes, yes. There are those who choose it for economic reasons. But in Japan, prostitution is treated as a crime, while in reality, mizu-shobai is openly available, isn't it? It's a contradiction."

I: "I don't mind if prostitution is voluntary. I: "I don't mind if prostitution is free will, but I will never tolerate being forced to engage in it.

J: "But Japanese law is very strict toward women, isn't it? Just by talking about rape, they say without hesitation that the woman is at fault.

K: "Indeed. It is so outdated to say that rape between husband and wife is not a crime. In other countries, if a husband forces himself on his wife, it is also rape.

L: "Oh, really? That is something that should definitely be introduced in Japan. Just because you are married, you can do whatever you want whenever you want, it's not right.

B: "I don't understand why Japanese men are so quick to sulk that they are not loved if they are rejected, but if a woman says she is not in the mood, they say she is finished as a woman.

M: "Overseas, it is natural for men and women to express love in the same way. In Japan, however, men's sexual desires are always affirmed, and when women speak up, they are told that it's 'too petty' and that's it. This must change soon."

E: "Yes, it would be nice if we could talk like this to change the tide a little."

A: "Really. Let's keep talking like this and not hide it!"
