Waste Reuse and Agriculture in Matsuyama City - November 2006
In Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Fuji Construction Co. is promoting recycling-oriented agriculture by reusing 120 tons of construction waste, concrete pieces, and logged trees as compost annually. This has resulted in a 35% reduction in disposal costs, saving 15 million yen annually. In the cultivation of Ehime mandarin oranges, the sugar content increased by 2 degrees and the harvest increased by 20%. The project is being expanded to other regions in cooperation with Imabari City and Niihama City.

Biomethane Project in Piedmont, Italy - 2006
In Piedmont, 5,000 tons of biomethane is generated annually from agricultural waste and used as fuel for agricultural machinery.
