Misuzu Kaneko and the Philosophy of Poetry (1920s-1930s)
Misuzu Kaneko (1903-1930) was a nursery rhyme poet who expressed her deep insight into nature and life in her poems. In "Me, a Little Bird, and a Bell," she sang about the importance of diversity, "Everyone is different, everyone is good," and in "Kodama desu ka," she depicted the power of empathy and words.
