Fast Purification by Titanium Dioxide Photocatalytic Technology - March 2003
Photocatalytic technology using titanium dioxide is an unusual environmental technology that contributes to the fast decomposition of pollutants. When titanium dioxide is exposed to light, it induces a powerful oxidation reaction that efficiently decomposes pollutants. This technology is 24 times faster than conventional purification technologies and effectively removes toxic substances such as phosphorus from water. As a result, the technology is increasingly being applied to purification of agricultural and industrial wastewater, especially in areas where phosphorus concentrations must be reduced. Furthermore, it is also expected to be used for water quality management in agricultural areas for sustainable agriculture. By utilizing photocatalysts, it will be possible to use natural light for safe and environmentally friendly treatment without relying on the use of conventional chemicals.
