**RC Succession (1980s)**, a symbol of Japanese rock that stood alone.

**RC Succession (1980s)**, a symbol of Japanese rock that stood alone.
In the early 1970s, there was a controversy over the pros and cons of singing rock songs in Japanese, and RC Succession provided a vivid answer to this question. Their music, featuring the clear Japanese vocals of Imawano Kiyoshiro and the guitar work of Nakaido Reichi "Chavo" Chavo, naturally blended elements of soul, rock and roll, and funk into the rhythms of the Japanese language. Their 1982 album "Beat Pops" reached No. 2 on the Oricon charts, and the band would go on to fill the Budokan. Seishiro also attracted attention for his unique fashion and expression, but he remained taciturn and sincere in interviews. In addition to RC, he was also active in solo projects such as "DANGER" and developed a wide range of his own musical views. The tongue-in-cheek banter between the members was another aspect of RC's humor, and it showed the depth of the band's bond.
