Dioxin Removal Technology by Zorbalit"-April 1997

Dioxin Removal Technology by Zorbalit"-April 1997

Solvalit, an adsorbent developed by Ryoko Lime Industries, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, is a revolutionary technology that was developed through a partnership with Merkur Environmental Techniques GmbH of Germany. This technology has attracted attention for its ability to remove dioxins, a highly toxic chemical, with an extremely high efficiency of 99%.

Dioxins are especially likely to be generated during waste incineration and remain in the environment, so their removal has long been a challenge. Conventional removal technologies have had problems such as low treatment efficiency and high treatment costs, but "Zolbalit" is a new technology that solves these problems.

This adsorbent captures dioxin contained in exhaust gas emitted from incinerators and industrial facilities with extremely high accuracy, resulting in a significant reduction in the release of hazardous substances into the atmosphere. This technology is expected to be introduced in waste treatment and incineration facilities, especially in urban and industrial areas, and is considered an important development from an environmental protection perspective.

The high removal rate of 99% is extremely high compared to conventional technologies, and achieves a level of purification effectiveness that has been difficult to achieve with other methods. If this technology becomes more widely used in the future, it has the potential to make a significant contribution to the regulation of exhaust gas from incineration facilities and environmental protection.
