Solvalit, an adsorbent developed by Ryoko Lime Industries, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, is a revolutionary technology that was developed through a partnership with Merkur Environmental Techniques GmbH of Germany. This technology has attracted attention for its ability to remove dioxins, a highly toxic chemical, with an extremely high efficiency of 99%.
Dioxins are especially likely to be generated during waste incineration and remain in the environment, so their removal has long been a challenge. Conventional removal technologies have had problems such as low treatment efficiency and high treatment costs, but "Zolbalit" is a new technology that solves these problems.
This adsorbent captures dioxin contained in exhaust gas emitted from incinerators and industrial facilities with extremely high accuracy, resulting in a significant reduction in the release of hazardous substances into the atmosphere.
