The End of the Myth of the Human: The Limits of Human Supremacy and Its Historical Background (2020s)
Modernity since the 20th century has been founded on "human supremacy," which places human emotions and choices at the center of value. Democracy, capitalism, and the idea of human rights were supported by this belief, but in the 21st century, the assumption has been shaken by the development of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. In an age where emotions and will are explained by brain matter and algorithms predict with a high degree of accuracy beyond human choice, the belief that "human judgment is special" is receding. This shift is forcing a redesign of politics and ethics, leading to a "dismantling of the self" that threatens the inner self more deeply than the external alienation Marx once noted. If the anthropocentric worldview is to end, we must build a new ethical system. In the 2020s, when technology accelerates, these questions are no longer about the future.
