Komuro etc., Songs for the City - Recollections of "Tokyo Trip" in 1978

Komuro etc., Songs for the City - Recollections of "Tokyo Trip" in 1978

In 1978, Komuro and others toured the 23 wards of Tokyo on a concert tour titled "Tokyo Trip". He emerged as the leader of "Rokubun Sen" in the late 1960s, and has led the Japanese folk world with music that sharply addresses social issues.

At the time, Japan was in a period of transition from the end of its rapid economic growth to a period of stable growth, and the country was shaken by anxiety and change, including inflation, political upheaval, and the rise of new musical trends. Komuro continued to deliver his songs, defying the waves of the times and remaining true to his beliefs. This tour, which took place at the Koto Ward Higashi Tonari Kuminkan and the Nerima Fujimi High School auditorium, provided a cultural venue for workers and citizens through music, with the support of Tokyo Labor Oto (Tokyo Labor Oto).

Even amid the shift from folk to new music, Komuro and others faced the times head-on and spoke to society through their music. Tokyo Trip" was Komuro's solid footprint that connected the city, people, and memories, and his voice was deeply engraved in Tokyo in 1978.
