Sanbanse Tidal Flat Restoration Plan - Chiba Prefecture - March 2007

Sanbanse Tidal Flat Restoration Plan - Chiba Prefecture - March 2007

The Sanbanse tidal flat in Chiba Prefecture covers an area of approximately 1,800 hectares and is an area with a rich ecosystem. However, the environment had deteriorated due to past reclamation and water pollution. In response, Chiba Prefecture formulated the Sanbanze Restoration Plan in 2007, with the goals of restoring biodiversity, ensuring continuity between the sea and land, creating a sustainable environment, improving the productivity of the fishing grounds, and promoting environmental education for local residents. Through collaboration with local residents and organizations, the plan aims to achieve sustainable environmental conservation and community revitalization.
