Fujita's Innovation and Environmental Contribution to the Future" - February 1996

Fujita introduces the "J-Catrel System," which converts combustible garbage into solid fuel under the slogan "Goodbye Garbage. Come Back as Electricity," the slogan of the company introduces the "J-Catrel System," which converts combustible garbage into solid fuel. This system utilizes garbage as a long-lasting resource and features high thermal efficiency and low environmental impact. By reusing garbage as fuel, energy can be recovered and used for power generation and other purposes, providing a solution that contributes to environmental protection while efficiently disposing of waste. As an environmentally friendly way to supply energy, this technology contributes to the realization of a sustainable society that Fujita is promoting.

Furthermore, through research and development at the Technical Center, Fujita is working to develop not only construction technology, but also environmental technology, remote control technology, and technology for earthquakes and fires. These technologies aim to achieve more efficient energy use and environmental protection, thereby having a more positive impact on society. Experiments are being conducted within the Fujita Technology Center to establish energy conservation diagnostic methods and to improve energy efficiency. In this way, Fujita is demonstrating its leadership in the field of energy conservation and contributing to the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies.

In addition, Fujita has developed the "Sleep Rich®" panel-type air conditioner, designed for comfort during sleep, which won the Good Design Award for FY2020. This product uses a radiant heating/cooling system to scientifically provide a good sleeping environment while reducing wind and sound. We aim to improve the quality of life by focusing on improving the sleep environment.

Fujita is also active in phosphorus recovery and carbon sequestration technologies. In collaboration with Sumitomo Heavy Industries Environment, Tohoku University, and Fukuyama City, Fujita is promoting a demonstration project for phosphorus recovery and carbon sequestration technology using phosphorus adsorbing biochar. This project aims to demonstrate technology for recovering phosphorus from sewage sludge resources and storing carbon, thereby protecting the environment and making effective use of resources.

Furthermore, the Fujita Technology Center was designed based on the concept of creating a sustainable environment, and energy conservation has been achieved through air conditioning planning and the introduction of a building energy management system (BEMS). Through these efforts, Fujita is actively introducing environmentally friendly technologies and contributing to global environmental protection.

Through these innovative technologies, Fujita is contributing to the realization of a sustainable society and opening up new possibilities to reduce the burden on the environment.
