Uoara Recycle (Soka City, Saitama Prefecture) - October 1997

Ltd. in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture, collects approximately 300 tons of fish guts, bones, and heads annually from the Tsukiji (now Toyosu) and Yokohama Central Wholesale Markets, and uses high-temperature drying and grinding technology to process them into high-protein livestock feed. This process prevents fish waste from decomposing and causing foul odors, and has been highly evaluated as feed for pigs and chickens. The recycling business reduces disposal costs by more than 10 million yen per year, contributing to food loss prevention and improvement of local sanitation. In addition, through the development of products utilizing calcium and protein, we are contributing to the formation of a recycling-oriented society and reduction of environmental burdens.
